Spend an evening chillaxin’, sipping cocktails and enjoying the acoustic sounds of Desert Nights at the ultra chic Standard Hotel this Wednesday, March 14. This Saturday, March 17 the beer will flow a little stronger in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The Strip’s restaurants, bars and venues have a full day and night packed with parties and shows, including an all-day block party at Rock & Reilly’s featuring an outdoor beer garden, DJs, bands and five bars from noon – 10 p.m. Entrance is $10. While the LA Marathon takes over the streets of Los Angeles on Sunday, March 18, get in the walking spirit with your own tour de force with a self-guided tour of Gibson GuitarTown 2012 on The Sunset Strip. This week marked the official launch of round two of GuitarTown, the “larger than life” public art display that features 10-foot tall art guitars. The newest installment includes guitars by artists including Shepard Fairey, Tristan Eaton and a collaborative street art guitar by more than 15 artists including DeeKay, Bankrupt Slut, Free Humanity and more.
