0 The Sunset Strip gathered the troops yesterday to celebrate the completition of the Sunset Strip Beautification Project and the offical grand re-opening of the newly renovated boulevard! The seven month Beautification Project included such improvements as repaving the boulevard for the first time in 75 years, repairing and expanding sidewalks and crosswalks to enhance the pedestrian experience and planting new trees along the 1.6 mile stretch.
The celebration included a ribbon cutting by West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman, Mayor Pro Tempore John Durran and Councilmember Abbe Land and classic car parade officially opening the boulevard. GuitarTown on The Sunset Strip also launched last night, providing visitors and locals alike with yet another reason to visit and walk the legendary boulevard. www.gibson.com/sunset-strip
