"I was there to attend the annual Sunset Strip Music Festival. Impeding the flow of cars in LA is not something that’s taken lightly, so the fact that this event marks the only time of year when a section of the Strip is closed to traffic gives you some idea of its significance. As well as two outdoor stages set up a few blocks apart at the Strip’s western end, all the major clubs open their doors to a line-up of more than 60 bands. The festival was headlined by the Smashing Pumpkins and the 2010 honoree for the SSMF Hall of Fame, former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash." [The Sydney Morning Herald]
