Metal & Spooky Rock at Whisky – Oct. 19, 20, 24, 26 & 31

The Whisky is hosting a full month of spooky sounding rock and roll. Catch Death Angel, 3 Inches Of Blood and Battlecross on Oct. 19; Disgorge, Necronomicon, Unsanctified and Crypt Infection on Oct. 20; Mortified Mortician, Rhythm Coffin and Vestal Sin on Oct. 24; The Koffin Kats, Los Bandits, Grave Slaves and TwentyOne Skulls on Oct. 26; and I See Stars, The Word Alive and Get Scared on Oct. 31. www.whiskyagogo.com



GORGE Tim Burton Inspired Wine Dinner – Oct. 22

GORGE restaurant gets into the spirit with a “spirited” wine dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The event is hosted by master sommelier Darius Allyn and will feature a menu inspired by the films of Tim Burton, including “Alice In Wonderland Amuse Bouche” (wild mushroom soup), “Corpse Bride Napoleon” (smoked salmon, caviar, crème fraiche, tomato confit and poached egg), “Sweeny Todd Sausage” (pistachio pork sausage, potato puree, shallot and cabbage choucroute, burgundy and blueberry sauce) and “Nightmare Before Xmas Dessert” (chocolate gianduja cream, flourless chocolate cake). Each course will be paired with a mystery wine (or two). The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and is $95 per person. Seating is limited. Haunted Midnights IV at The Comedy Store – Oct. 24

Considered one of the most haunted buildings in Los Angeles, The Comedy Store has played home to murderous mobsters, lost souls and restless spirits for nearly a century. Going back to the days when it was the celebrity hot spot Ciro's, many an unfortunate patron may have gone to their untimely death here, and perhaps, never left. Join your host Skitzo, as he presents stories and vintage TV clips of firsthand encounters with our resident spirits. And we’ve just added a surprise Illusionist from The Magic Castle. We'll finish at the stroke of midnight, with a personally guided, behind-the-scenes tour of the most haunted spots in The Comedy Store, so you can judge for yourself! Rainbow’s Annual Halloween Costume Party – Oct. 28 & 29
