Construction on The Sunset Strip is not as intensive this week, but a lane will be closed in each direction between Alta Loma and San Vicente, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please remember that all businesses will be open during their normal business hours, and we encourage you to support your local businesses during construction.

This week crews will continue to fix sidewalks and curbs between Alta Loma Road and San Vicente Boulevard. Work includes taking out the broken or damaged concrete and replacing it with new sidewalk. Crews will also install ramps that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) at the street corners.

Crews are steam cleaning and pressure washing the sidewalks in the mornings from 6-10 a.m. when there are less people on the sidewalks. The cleaning will continue block by block.

Although medians located in Sunset Plaza have been removed to accommodate traffic flow during construction, they will return. The contractor will rebuild the medians and make them larger to accommodate for more planting areas and an irrigation system.
