Summertime movies on The Sunset Strip continue this week with a screening of everyone’s favorite childhood classic The Goonies at Skybar, Mondrian and rock n’ roll biopic The Runaways at Rainbow Bar and Grill.  Both films start at 8 p.m. and are free to attend.


Tuesday, Aug. 11

Brash, no holds barred funny man Bill Burr brings his All Things Comedy podcast to the world famous Comedy Store for a sold out special event.  Doors open at 7:30 p.m.


Wednesday, Aug. 12

The Roxy Theatre presents two back-to-back nights (Aug. 12 and 13) with Oakland based R&B songstress Kehlani. Night two (Thursday) is already sold out but there are still tickets available for this Wednesday.  Doors open at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $18-$20 GA.

Also, each and every month the Andaz West Hollywood hosts a complimentary wine tasting curated by the experts at V Wine Room. This time around, the tasting will feature a selection of Pinot Gris and Pino Grigio varietals.  Pourings start at 5 p.m.


Thursday, Aug. 13

State Social House continues to be your Thursday night destination for an evening of dining, drinking and dancing to the sounds of the Strip Summer Series.  This week enjoy a live performance by Janet Klein & Her Parlor Boys bringing you the old timey sounds of the 1910s, ‘20s and ‘30s.  Admission is free.  The music starts at 7 p.m.


Friday, Aug. 14

80s metal mainstay Saigon Kick return to The Sunset Strip for a one night only intimate show at The Viper Room.  Doors open at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $20 GA/$50 VIP.


Saturday, Aug. 15

Quintessential new wave ska pioneers The English Beat bring their skankin’ sound to the legendary Roxy Theatre.  Doors open at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $30 GA.


Sunday, Aug. 16

Spend your Sunday Funday poolside at Skybar, Mondrian enjoying cocktails and beats brought to you by Playa Escondida.  This week’s DJ lineup includes sounds by Heidi, Xochi and Henri.  Party starts at 1 p.m.  RSVP
