Tuesday, June 23

Self-proclaimed “cholo-goth” pioneers Prayers bring their catchy, campy electro sound to The Roxy Theatre for a one night only, sold out show.  Doors open at 8 p.m.


Wednesday, June 24

The world famous Comedy Store presents Scream: A tribute to Michael Jackson.  This week marking the sixth anniversary of the passing of the king of pop, host Marcella Arguello (Last Call with Carson Daly), Melissa Villasenor (current finalist on America’s Got Talent) and friends pay comedic homage to MJ with a night of stand-up, dancing and singing.  Doors open at 10 p.m.  Tickets are only $5 GA.


Thursday, June 25

The Sunset Strip’s own spandex clad spawn Steel Panther play the landmark House of Blues Sunset for one last time before the famed venue closes up shop.  Doors open at 9 p.m.  Tickets are $15 GA.

And on a culinary note… Skybar hosts Ceviche Project, a special pop-up dining experience spotlighting five seafood based variations, handcrafted cocktails by DeLeón tequila and sounds by Diallo.  Cost is $125 per person.  RSVP recommended.


Friday, June 26

Super Show Friday – From east to west, so many hard to choose from Sunset Strip events all jam packed into one evening…

1OAK presents Remember the Time: A Tribute to Michael Jackson featuring sounds by DJ Cassidy.  Doors open at 10 p.m.  RSVP  Also in honor of MJ week… House of Blues presents the ultimate tribute to Jacko with Who’s Bad.  Doors open at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $15 GA.

The Viper Room presents L.A. metal mainstay Fireball Ministry with special guest, all girl KISS tribute band PRISS.  Doors open at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $15 GA.

Whisky A Go-Go presents notorious Sunset Strip glam greats Faster Pussycat.  Doors open at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $20 GA.

The Roxy Theatre presents a sold out show with Philly based indie rock outfit mewithoutyou.  Doors open at 7:30 p.m.


Weekend (June 27, 28)
