Tonight the queen of The Sunset Strip, Dayle Gloria, kicks off SSMF Week with a superstar sampling of local fare at The Viper Room. Headlined by the Alt brothers of Street Drum Corps (playing the street fest this Saturday, Aug. 3), this swingin’ lineup includes performances by Bobby Alt & Back to Earth, The Moonbeams (featuring Adam Alt), The After Hours and Elle Rae. Anyone looking to entertain holiday house guests should search no further than the Key Club for their monday night staple: Steel Panther. It is thee must see show for locals and visitors alike. Sunset Strip Picks: SSMF 2010 Edition

Besides the big name headliners like The Smashing Pumpkins and Slash, there are more than 50 other bands scheduled to appear at this year’s Sunset Strip Music Festival. With enough music to make your eardrums swell, trying to decide which bands to catch can be a daunting task. To help quell your festival fears, here is a list of 10 finer print bands worth checking out.
BILLY BOY ON POISON – Signed to Kiefer Sutherland’s label Ironworks Music, these four young lads are taking the music world by storm with soulful rock n’ roll jams that sound like the back catalogue of seasoned vets twice their age.
