If you haven’t noticed, we’ve got some serious, heavy duty work going on up here on The Strip. And while we’ve really got to know and love the bulldozers, we’re happy to note that the construction is almost finished! Just one more month until the entire stretch of The Sunset Strip – from the border of Beverly Hills to Havenhurst – is repaved and all the sidewalks are fresh and clean. (By the way have you seen the new EXTENDED sidewalks in Sunset Plaza?! Super spacious outdoor dining perfect for the summer months – or really any time of year in Southern California.)<\/p>\n

Work this week on Sunset includes fixing sidewalks and curbs, striping the lanes and traffic markings on the street and installing new storm drains.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Please note that due to unforeseen conditions, the westbound traffic lane closest to the Sunset Plaza median will be closed 24 hours a day until Friday, June 11. The area of repair is too large to be plated over with metal plates and will need a few days to dry completely before being able to handle traffic. This will affect westbound traffic between Sunset Plaza Drive and Sherbourne Drive.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During working hours, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., traffic lanes in portions of Sunset Boulevard will be reduced down to one lane in each direction. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during the construction and temporary lane closures.<\/p>\n

Please remember that all businesses will be open during their normal business hours, and we encourage you to support your local businesses during construction.<\/p>\n
