Grab your running shoes! The Sunset Strip is preparing to host 25,000 runners during the Los Angeles Marathon "Stadium to the Sea" course this Sunday, March 21. The 26.2 mile course will tour historical landmarks in the City of Los Angeles, starting at Dodger Stadium and ending at the Santa Monica Pier, and will lead runners through West Hollywood’s legendary Sunset Strip in miles 13 through 14 of the race.

With the midway point of the race (mile 13.1) located on The Sunset Strip at Sweetzer Avenue, there are many morning specials for spectators to enjoy. So grab a cup of coffee and join us as we cheer on those brave runners conquering the streets of LA!

 

LA Marathon Block Party
The LA Marathon will stage a Block Party at Sweetzer and Sunset Boulevard (adjacent to Cabo Cantina at 8301 Sunset Boulevard) from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. The Block Party will include live music, radio remotes and sponsor tents featuring samples and merchandise. This event is free and open to the public. There will also be a DJ booth at mile 14 located near Sunset and Larabee Avenue.

 

Cabo Cantina Brunch & Drink Specials

Opening early to cheer the LA Marathon runners on at the halfway point party! Cabo Cantina will offer brunch specials starting at just $5 and Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys until 3 p.m.! Spectators can also quench their thirst with refreshing Sweet Tea Vodka Pitchers for only $9.95. After brunch, stay for Cabo’s famous two-for-one Happy Hour from 4 -8 p.m.

 

The Standard Hollywood ‘Spectators Breakfast Menu’

The Standard Hollywood will offer a lighter menu for Sunday morning spectators. Enjoy breakfast in The Standard’s 24/7 Restaurant, poolside or in the Cactus Lounge. Items include House made granola with yogurt and fresh berries ($10), choice of fresh baked muffin or whole grain bagel with tea or coffee ($5), breakfast sandwich croissant with scrambled eggs, cheese and avocado ($10) and “Eggsadilla” with scallion scrambled eggs, guacamole, jack cheese, flour tortillas and pico de gallo ($12).
