0 Looking for a way to mix up your week? Stop by the Cocktail Lab at Bar 1200 for an interactive mixology course with “creative director” Matthew Salinas (P.J. Clarke’s, The Bowery, Hotel Gansevoort). These aren’t your usual summer school courses. (In fact, this is probably the first time you’ll look forward to homework.) The biweekly courses teach you how to make some of the most popular and interesting cocktails as well as provide helpful tips on when to shake instead of pour and what bar tools are really essential for the home.
The courses are held the first and third Thursday of every month and limited to six students at a time. The cost is $45 per person and includes instructions on how to craft three cocktails, plus sampling your creations and light bar snacks.
