Forks Up! DineLA Restaurant Week Returns Jan. 20-31

DineLA Restaurant Week returns for its winter edition starting today through Jan. 31. The dining event highlights the diverse culinary experiences throughout the Los Angeles area. For 12 days, diners can enjoy specially priced prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus at some of the area’s best restaurants.

Sunset Strip restaurants participating in the 2014 winter Restaurant Week include:

New In The Neighborhood: Rare By Drai’s Steakhouse

New In The Neighborhood: Rare By Drai’s Steakhouse

You’ll definitely want to sink your teeth into this: Rare by Drai’s steakhouse is open! The French-inspired steakhouse is decked out in red hues with velvetty red curtains, plush sofas and ornate lighting and seating.
The menu includes cold and hot seafood offerings, filets, prime NY strip, ribeyes, prime porterhouse and rack of lamb as well as a full bar with signature cocktails. Items that caught our eye include iced Kumamoto oysters, pepper steak filet with fresh cracked peppercorn sauce, lobster truffled macaroni and cheese and the “On Sunset” cocktail (tequila ocho plata, arbol chili infused St. Germain, honey, lemon and ginger).
Expect a well-heeled crowd and lots of seductive engery with DJs, outdoor patio seating near the lounge and a candlelit dining room.
Rare by Drai’s is open for dinner service. For reservations and more information, call 310-360-1525 or visit www.facebook.com/rarebydrais.

We’re Extending Summer!

We’re Extending Summer!

The calendar may say “Autumal Equinox” but it still feels sunny and summery on The Sunset Strip. Extend summer another few weeks with these upcoming events. (That scarf is just for decoration, anyway.)

SEASONAL SUMMER COCKTAILS

The Eveleigh restaurant has an amazing patio, and a fresh, farm-to-table menu. So when you add fresh, seasonal cocktails to this equation, you have the perfect summer trifecta. Stop by to try a few of their delicious summer-inspired drinks before they’re out of season: Oaxacan Angel (mezcal, agave, Miracle Mile Castillian bitters), Embury Cocktail (Plymouth Navy-strength gin, sherry, Yellow Chartreuse, Miracle Mile Yuzu bitters) and Hotel Nacional (Cuban rum, apricot eau de vie, fresh pineapple, lime, cane sugar). Cheers! www.theeveleigh.com
