Forks Up! Restaurant Week Returns Jan. 22

Grab your appetite and leave the giant bills at home as DineLA Restaurant Week is returning this month! The January edition of this biannual dining event features a host of Sunset Strip restaurants to fit every palate and wallet. Get Pret’Tea In Pink For A Cause

Sure, you wear a black leather jacket and may or may not have a few tattoos in undisclosed locations, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have a softer side. You like to break stereotypes and enjoy the refinement of afternoon tea, charitable events and references to ’80s brat pack films, which is why you’ve already made your reservation for Pret’Tea in Pink afternoon tea service at The London West Hollywood’s Boxwood Café.

Throughout the month of October, you can sip your tea knowing that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to What A Pair!, a nonprofit organization benefitting breast cancer research. The dine-for-a-cause menu includes a selection of teas, cakes and desserts (raspberry truffles, pink rose macaron), a selection of miniature savory canapés and tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones and a glass of sparkling rose.

Foodies and those who use their kitchen for decorative purposes only can rejoice when DineLA’s Restaurant Week returns for its fall installment October 2-7 and 9-14. Created as a way to showcase Los Angeles’ diverse dining scene and neighborhoods, Restaurant Week is the perfect excuse to try all those restaurants on your “to eat” list by sampling multi-course meals at a reduced price.

Each participating restaurant offers three-course prix fixe lunches and/or dinners, with nine restaurants on The Sunset Strip joining in on the fun. Thai, Italian, sushi, French, Asian-fusion, steak, Mexican and California cuisine are all represented. Who’s hungry?

Beer & Animal Lovers Unite At The Roxy’s Vegan Beer Fest

As we count down the days (there’s two) ’til the first pop-up Craft Beer Garden on The Sunset Strip, we take a look back to another fun-in-the-sun craft beer day on The Strip: the second annual Vegan Beer Festival!

On June 25, fans of craft beer and animals joined forces to enjoy cold brews, vegan food trucks, sunny weather and live music throughout the day at The Roxy Theatre. The event featured more than 40 craft beers, pretzal necklaces and performances by The Stripminers, The Silent Comedy and The Mowgli’s.
