Summer Fun Pops Up On The Strip

Summer Fun Pops Up On The Strip

DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince said it best: It’s time to sit back and unwind.
In celebration of the sunnier skies and warmer weather, The Sunset Strip is kicking off summer with two new outdoor events: ColLAboration Pop-Up Craft Beer Garden and the Sunset Strip Record Swap, hitting The Strip next weekend.
You can catch both events on Saturday, July 9, starting with the Sunset Strip Record Swap at LIVE! On Sunset, the former home of Tower Records. The event will feature more than 40 vendors and 100,000 records for your listening and DJing pleasure. Record Collector News and KLOS are partnering with the Sunset Strip Business Association to host the Record Swap, which will take place from noon until 7:00 p.m. Early bird admission is $15, or $10 with the donation of a nonperishable food item, and is free after 2 p.m.

Coney Dog Brings Detroit To The Sunset Strip

Coney Dog Brings Detroit To The Sunset Strip

Michigan natives rejoiced on Sunday, when Coney Dog officially opened on The Sunset Strip. The lines wrapped around the block as die-hards patiently waited to taste a piece of home — coney dogs, loose burgers, pop and chili cheese fries. While some Detroit traditionalists may have bypassed the California-centric additions (veggie dogs and vegetarian chili), all were happy to have this hometown staple in Los Angeles.
In addition to the food menu, Coney Dog also boasts an extensive list of craft and local beers. And good news for late nighters: Coney Dog is open until 2 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until 4 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
Stop by and say hello!

TheSunsetStrip.com Exclusive Interview With Adam Carolla

TheSunsetStrip.com Exclusive Interview With Adam Carolla

Last week, funny man Adam Carolla stopped by Book Soup on The Sunset Strip to meet fans and sign copies of his new literary endeavor, In Fifty Years We’ll All Be Chicks: And Other Complaints From an Angry Middle-Aged White Guy.

From extremely humble beginnings, Carolla is the definition of the classic but rarely realized Hollywood success story. Starting his career at KROQ radio in Los Angeles, then switching gears to co-host and develop “The Man Show” for Comedy Central, and recently writing and staring in the indie feature The Hammer, Carolla has more than paid his dues.

Now with his The New York Times bestselling book and a podcast that exceeds more than one million downloads per week, the sky is the limit for the guy who once dreamed of being a strip club DJ.
