The countdown to the 82nd Academy Awards is in full swing, and in a city that revolves around entertainment, it is more than an awards show, it is THE event of the year. During work hours (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) lanes will be reduced to one travel lane in the eastbound and one travel lane in the westbound direction. At the end of the day lanes will be reopened to two lanes of traffic in each direction.

Please remember that all businesses will be open during their normal business hours, and we encourage you to support your local businesses during construction.

During the weekday work hours, crews will continue grinding of the pavement. The old concrete is creating a lot of dust, so in an effort to combat this the sweepers are constantly running. The crews cannot use water to control the dust, because it turns into mud which will be tracked by cars along the boulevard and get into the storm drains that go directly to the ocean.
